What is Superhero Tri?
It’s big. It’s bold. It’s gutsy. It’s the UK’s one and only disability sport event for the everyday Superhero and their family and friends! We’re putting a call out to our very own community of Superheroes to join our teams for this fantastic fundraising event.
Time to team up
Unite with family and friends to take on a stage each of a Superhero Tri challenge – that’s a swim, a bike and a push/run. Please see below for your choice of two distances. Anyone can enter, as long as there’s at least one person with a disability per team. You can also bring a ‘Sidekick’ to push, guide or simply accompany any member of your team around the course if you wish.
You don’t have to come to us with a fully formed team. Get in touch and we’ll match you up with other intrepid Superhero teammates for an unforgettable day out.
What’s more, there will be 20 Celebrity Team Captains taking part on the day, from TV personalities to Paralympians, so come and mingle with some Superhero superstars!
What’s brilliant about Superhero Tri is that there are no cut-off times and you can bring any kind of equipment you might need to help you complete the challenge, from flippers and floats in the water to electric and day chairs on the bike and push/run stages.
Dorney Lake’s waters are clean and calm, and the bike and push/run courses are on closed, level, tarmacked roads and pathways. Where there’s a will there’s a way!
Choose your team challenge:
- Sprint Superhero Tri - 150m swim, 3km cycle and 1km push/run
- Half Superhero Tri - 400m swim, 10km cycle and 2.5km push/run
- Full Superhero Tri - 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km push/run
Great family day out
The challenges are only the beginning. Set in 450 acres of spectacular parkland, everyone at this unique event is in for a real treat. There’ll be all kinds of entertainment and refreshments for Superheroes and spectators big and small. Plus parking is free of charge.
