Sponsor a UK Child

How does Sponsor a UK Child work?

Meet Mia

“Mia has brain damage, cerebral palsy and epilepsy.  I honestly cannot tell you what else the doctor said as I was a complete mess after the words ‘brain damaged’ were spoken.   You just don’t think it will ever happen to you.

We were told by NHS specialists that the brain damage was so bad that Mia wouldn’t be able to do much at all.  We were completely devastated.

It took me a while to get my head around what the future would now hold, to grieve for the child I thought I was going to have and the things she would miss out on.

I don’t let myself think about Mia’s future.  It’s too hard.  But, what I do wish for, is that Mia would smile more.  She deserves to be happy.  For the first time, I believe that she will be and that’s because of bibic.”

Meet Ray

“Ray was just 6 months old when he suffered a stroke at birth.  The damage to his tiny brain was horrendous.  Doctors could not say what the future held.  Would he talk, would he walk, would he ever live an independent life?

bibic has given us hope for Ray’s future.  We are so grateful to those who support bibic’s work and we are comforted to know that people like you care enough to help our special boy”

Neill, Ray’s dad

“We have to say that of all the charities we have supported none have given greater pleasure than Sponsoring a UK Child at bibic.”
– Clive & Angela, bibic supporters

How will my sponsorship make a difference?

bibic therapists will support Mia’s family and teach them how to make life an easier place to be for their precious little girl.

With your help bibic therapists will work with Ray to give his Dad his biggest wish – for him to live a full and rewarding life and perhaps one day live independently.

What do I receive when I become a sponsor?

You will receive a ‘Welcome Pack’ with a certificate and the story of the child you are sponsoring, including photographs.  We will send you updates on the child’s progress which may include a letter from the parents, or a drawing from the child.

You’ll also receive one of our limited-edition keyrings!

How long will my sponsorship last?

You may sponsor a child for as long as you wish, there is no minimum period.  As there are thousands of children needing bibic’s help we hope that you will want to remain a sponsor for some time.  You can stop sponsorship at any time, if you so wish.

How will my donations be spent?

The demand for bibic’s service is huge. Although you will receive updates on an individual child the money you donate will be used to help fund the service for every child that needs bibic.
