bibic through a parent’s eyes
We see lots of families come through bibic’s doors every week. It’s always brilliant to find out how they are getting on since their visit, and to find out what it is like to visit bibic through a parent’s eyes. A Mum from London, who recently came with her son, writes about their visit:
At first I was scared. Going to a place like bibic meant I had to accept we were struggling. I had to accept that “my way” might not be the “best way”, because if it was I wouldn’t be struggling…
We took our, almost, 3-year-old son to bibic after concerns about his behaviour and development. We travelled all the way from London as there wasn’t any where local that offered a development assessment, feedback, strategies and techniques at an affordable price, including offering support to families. With it lasting 2 days I felt confident that the assessment would be more reliable as the therapist would observe our son for a longer duration.
Our son has a range of different tendencies and I wanted someone experienced to observe them all. Graham, our therapist, was amazing and observed us as a family, offering advice and support at every opportunity.
Three weeks later and the techniques and sensory massages have made such a huge difference to our son. The level of understanding we have gained from bibic is more than we ever expected, it has completely changed the way we parent our son for the better. Thank you bibic for all your support.
It’s so lovely to hear the impact we have on our families lives. If you would like to read more from this bibic mum visit her blog www.mommyrosebuds.wordpress.com
