Board Secretary

Join bibic as our Board Secretary
Make a difference to children’s lives by bringing your organisational skills to our board

bibic is a national charity based in Somerset, supporting children and young people with neurological, behavioural and developmental conditions, such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome and more. We work closely with families to deliver personalised therapy that helps children thrive and empowers parents and carers with the tools to support their child’s progress.

We’re looking for a voluntary Board Secretary to join our board of trustees – someone highly organised, with strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Ideally, you’ll have experience of minute-taking, scheduling meetings, and liaising with senior leaders, though charity or governance experience is not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Attending and taking minutes for our quarterly Finance Committee and Trustee Board meetings (held via Zoom)
  • Joining our Annual General Meeting in November in person at our Somerset offices
  • Scheduling board and committee meetings in collaboration with our Chair and CEO
  • Tracking trustee attendance and ensuring good governance practice

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a charity making a real difference to families across the UK. If you’re motivated by bibic’s values – compassion, empowerment, impact, and integrity – then this role could be for you.
