Queen’s College, Taunton raises £1,000 for local children’s charity
Langport based children’s charity bibic were thrilled when they were contacted by Queen’s College in Taunton last Autumn. The school’s Pre-Prep children voted for bibic as their chosen Charity of the Year, and have been giving it their all, fundraising over the last 12 months.
The Pre-Prep have raised nearly £1,000 through a variety of fun and exciting fundraising activities, these include collections at their Christmas and Summer performances, a sponsored swim and wear your own clothes days.
Sam Horner, Head of Queen’s College Pre-Prep said:
“The children and parents have all really enjoyed supporting bibic this year. As a school, we feel that it is important to support local charities, which often don’t get the support of the larger more publicised charities.”
Lynda Williams, bibic Chief Executive said:
“I was heartened when I heard that the children and staff at Queen’s College Pre-Prep chose to support bibic as their Charity of the Year. They have done incredibly well raising nearly £1,000. These vital funds will go straight towards our work supporting children, young people and their families struggling with disabilities and learning difficulties. Thank you.”
