Abi Foot
(Ab-ee Foot)
Developmental Therapist
Before joining bibic, I trained as a primary school teacher at the University of Plymouth, graduating in 2011 with my Bachelor of Education (BEd). I then spent several years teaching across the full primary range – from the very first days in Reception all the way through to Year 6.
Teaching gave me the wonderful chance to support children of all abilities and backgrounds, and to work closely with families to help children with additional needs thrive.
After some time away from the classroom, I knew I still wanted to bring learning to life for children. That’s when I became an Assistant Area Manager for a company running after-school science clubs. It was brilliant fun – think slime-making, tubs that burst open, rockets powered by cola bottles, and even creating my very own sherbet! As part of this role, I also had the joy of attending festivals and performing science shows, which meant sharing the magic of experiments with even more families.
In December 2023, I was thrilled to join bibic, where I get to return to what I love most: working alongside children, young people, and families, helping them unlock their potential. I truly believe that every individual can succeed when given the right support.
When I’m not at bibic, I’m at home with my husband and our little boy. I love cooking up something tasty, getting lost in a good book, or finding the next box set to dive into.
