At bibic, our purpose is to support children, young people and adults with neurological and developmental differences to better understand themselves and build the skills they need to thrive in everyday life. We believe the best outcomes are achieved through collaboration between families, schools and professionals, working together to support the individual.

With over 50 years of experience, bibic has developed specialist expertise in delivering holistic assessments, practical strategy programmes and tailored support for individuals, families, schools and organisations.

We also provide training, seminars and workshops for professionals, parents and organisations, helping to build understanding and confidence in supporting neurodiverse individuals across education, home and the workplace.

How we support schools and their pupils

Families often contact us when they have concerns about development, behaviour, communication, learning or motor skills. Others come to us feeling overwhelmed by educational feedback, medical terminology, care plans or long waiting times for NHS services.

Many of the individuals we support may have an EHCP or receive SEND support, but this is not essential. We regularly work with families who are seeking guidance while waiting for other services or exploring the best way to support their child.

Our team works with individuals with varying strengths, experiences and support needs, taking the time to understand the whole person and the environments they live, learn and grow in.

Achieve more with bibic

Following the assessment, bibic provides a personalised strategy programme for both the family and the school. These practical recommendations are designed to complement existing support and help create positive changes in everyday environments such as home and the classroom.

Our strategies focus on building understanding and confidence for the adults supporting the young person, while helping the individual develop skills that support participation, communication and wellbeing. Because recommendations are tailored to the young person and their learning environment, they are practical, achievable and easy to implement within existing school and family routines.

Assess, identify and support

At bibic, we work to understand each young person’s strengths, differences and areas where additional support may be helpful.

This is achieved through a holistic assessment process, which may include exploring areas such as behaviour, cognitive skills, language and communication, social and emotional development, motor skills, and everyday independence skills.

Training and services

bibic also offers bespoke training for schools, delivered by our developmental therapists. These sessions are designed to build understanding and confidence in supporting individuals with neurological and developmental differences.

Training can be tailored to your setting or focus on topics such as autism and ADHD, sensory processing, language development, learning differences, behaviour support, emotional wellbeing, and encouraging independence.

“bibic assessments offer us an invaluable different perspective.  Therefore, they provide us with strategies and approaches that enable us to get the very best from our students, both educationally and emotionally, and give them the chance to fulfil their true potential.” – New Fosseway School, Bristol
