Ellana Oxley

Developmental Therapist

I joined bibic in August 2023 after completing my PG Certificate in Education Practice. I completed a year long placement as a secondary school teacher, during which I taught a variety of ages and abilities.

I found my passion in supporting children and young adults in all aspects of their life from preparing them to live independently and developing as individuals, as well as providing the emotional support that comes with this growth.

I had previously spent time volunteering in the different areas of bibic, including as support for the therapy team, where I was able to experience supporting families and their children through the assessments.

I loved being a part of that moment when families and children gained insight into themselves and were able to understand themselves better, I couldn’t wait to return. Working closely with families through bibic has been a joy and a privilege and I look forward to going on each journey with each family I am able to support.

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my own family and dog having cosy movie nights. My hobbies include sewing and crochet, but I also enjoy reading.
