Janie Burnett-Bleach is the Founder of Janie’s Originals. Working primarily in mixed media and paper crafts, Janie is a celebrated artist, free motion embroiderer and designer. She works from her beautiful Somerset Studio and provides private tuition, group workshops and residential retreats in a variety of exciting mediums throughout the year. Crafternoon Tea

Participants to arrive at 2.30pm for a 3pm start. The afternoon will start with a delicious afternoon tea to be served during your crafting experience. This will end at 5pm.

Hand paint and glaze a Butterfly Brooch.

Choose a design from Janie’s Butterfly or Moth range to stamp and colour onto a pre-cut MDF shape. Janie will guide you through the techniques needed to create a realistic paint affect before glazing to a high shine finish. You can choose to attach a brooch or magnetic backing to your project and can even give your little creature a fluffy body. This is a perfect giftable project, but you may just want to keep it for yourself when you see how beautiful the finished product is.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities.

Crafting and Cocktails

Participants to arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. The evening will start with beautifully bespoke canapes on arrival and cocktails available to purchase throughout the evening.

Bind your own William Morris or Liberty fabric covered notebook

This workshop will teach you how to create a professionally finished, hand stitched notebook covered with your choice of either William Morris or Liberty printed fabrics. Janie will share lots of hints and tips with you so you can make more at home. This project is a gorgeous and useful item to keep or gift.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities but does include the use of sharp tools.
