Our holistic approach
We treat every young person as a unique individual, taking a “whole person” approach, ensuring more effective and lasting positive outcomes. We follow a similar style for each assessment with variations depending on the difficulties they are experiencing. It is this holistic and integrated approach that makes bibic’s individualised therapy so effective.
Assessments are delivered by a bibic Developmental Therapist to identify strengths and difficulties. In response to these outcomes, a bespoke programme of support is designed to address the underlying causes of those difficulties. Our approach empowers the young person, parents, carers and professionals with therapeutic interventions and strategies, helping the child to overcome challenges so that life at home and school is more fulfilling.
Our impact
Many parents say that because of our support, they are more aware, confident and able to make informed choices about issues affecting their child’s life.
“The bibic report meant school could implement the recommendations and our son is now more likely to engage in education.”
“Our daughter is less isolated in school and more able to have positive relationships with peers and teachers.”
“We’re now able to do normal family things. Her academic skills have improved, she now sees to her own personal care, and gets herself about at school.”
“We now have a better understanding and the bibic strategies have changed our lives, I now recognise warning signs, when our son is struggling with life, and how to pre-empt a melt down and head it off.”
Our EDIB
Our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) Vision:
Our vision is that all children, young adults and their families can access our services. We want to develop our reach into all communities through the whole of the UK.
Our EDIB Principles:
Create a culture both internally and externally of inclusion and belonging.
Ensure that we remove barriers to access for our services, ensuring that everyone who wants or needs a bibic assessment can access one.
Ongoing developing and learning around EDIB – always progressing forwards, never sitting still and always striving for positive change.
Create a holistic culture and ensure that
everyone feels part of that culture by utilising the skills of the team, trustees and volunteers.
Actively engage with and include voices from diverse communities to build trust, foster partnerships and celebrate diversity.
