Who we support

Supporting children and young adults with or without a diagnosed condition

We have evolved into a national charity supporting not only brain injuries but a wide range of disabilities, special educational needs, developmental conditions and learning difficulties.

Importantly children and young adults age 6 months to 25 years old can come and see us with or without a diagnosis and do not need a referral.

Can we help your child?

Are you worried about your young person’s development, challenging behaviour, meltdowns, lack of communication and social interaction, learning difficulties or gross/ fine motor skills?

Are you feeling overwhelmed with school feedback, medical jargon, NHS appointments or care plans?

We support many children and young adults with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) or Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) but you do not need to have one to visit us. Indeed many parents are in the process of getting one and need our practical support whilst they are waiting.

We treat every young person as the unique individual they are and will follow a similar style for each assessment with variations depending on the difficulties they are experiencing.

We are not a diagnostic service, however, there are times when it may be relevant to carry out a screening assessment for a particular condition. This screening will not provide a diagnosis, but it will give an indicator of the likelihood of the condition being present, and may therefore provide some insight into a young person’s difficulties.
